Indian government made it mandatory on all movie producers to display warning that "Tobacco/Smoking is injurious to health." Some film producers started showing warnings which belittled their seriousness. Here is one from hindi movie, "Shaadi Se Pehley."

India made it mandatory for tobacco companies to devote 85 per cent space on packets of cigarettes and other tobacco products to warnings against the ill effects of tobacco consumption. The notification said the health warnings shall be expressed in English or any Indian language.
